An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-trained health professional who specialises in the delivery of exercise interventions and education for persons with complex medical histories, existing chronic medical conditions or injuries, or those at a high risk of developing a chronic disease.

The main aim of exercise physiology treatment is to assist individuals in preventing or managing chronic disease or injury, as well as aiding the restoration of an individual’s optimal health and well-being.
